Jessi has been a teacher at The Grauer School since 2003. As an undergraduate at UC Davis, she double majored in Political Science and History. After college, Jessi moved to Barcelona where she taught English as a second language for two years and traveled extensively through Europe. Upon her return to San Diego, she worked as a math tutor and a bilingual instructional aide at a local high school before coming to Grauer. At The Grauer School Jessi is primarily a teacher, but she is also an educational mentor, the humanitarian service coordinator and a member of the development team. Jessi completed her master's degree in Spanish at SDSU in 2014.

Jessi enjoys attending concerts, photography, travel, and spending time with family and friends. She also volunteers extensively at the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA and has been a volunteer for the Youth And Government program for over 15 years. Jessi got married in 2015 to her husband Troy. They live in North Park with their adorable dog, Mona.
